flight

A boy sitting all lonely on the terrace of his grand-parents house .. he wants to fly.. he is roaming here and there in search of trance, the ultimate trance which exists after death. He will just have to cross a then red translucent wall, a wall of separation between life and death, separation between breath and no breath, a wall made of nothing but emotions and thoughts. He is sitting, gazing blankly towards the sky, the clouds, the sun rays playing hide and seek with their child, the earth through between the clouds. He gazes towards the solitary kite, the kite soaring so high into the clouds as if he is practicing his flight lessons. He is feeling and enjoying his flight with his eyes closed , above all humanity, above the city of joy. His feathers flickering in the cool breeze of monsoon and he keeps on changing the tilt of his tail continuously to control his directions. He knows about his superiority over other birds and that is why he is so calm, strong and soaring so high. He knows a descendent of apes might have reached the moon and the mars but he knows better that the ape cannot fly on his own. He needs an energy gulping machine to help him fly. He cant just run and jump off the terrace of his house and start fluttering his wings and fly up. The kite knows down there in the city there’s someone gazing towards him, sitting jealous of his flight. The lonely boy can just wish he could fly but gets disappointed every time the truth hammers into his mind, the truth that he cannot fly. The boy wants to jump off the terrace and glide and glide and glide through the cool breeze. The boy wants to feel the flow of air over his wings and how he maneuvers with slight movements of his feathers and tail but he cannot, for he surely knows he'll die if he jumps off. Human beings are so fucking 2-dimensional . They can fuck around in X and Y coordinates but they're so restricted in the Z coordinate.. fuckin gravity !!
